White chicks:

White chicks trailer includes many humorous scenes which makes the trailer more effective as it engages its target audiences attention and identifies the movie's genre. White chicks is a comedy movie and in the trailer it includes the most popular scenes to which are seemed the most humorous.

During the trailer, it mainly uses voice over as well as the dialogue within the scenes, this makes it more effective as the narrative is spoken out which demonstrates what the movie is about. However, in my trailer I am most likely going to have the dialogue from scenes to make my movie trailer more effective as this will engage to our target audience by showing parts of our most humorous scenes. There will be certain parts in my trailer where we will use voice over however majority of it will be small parts of certain scenes so it does not reveal too much information to my target audience. This will help build up suspense as audiences will want to know what happens next and what more is to come.

In addition, there is background music which makes the movie trailer more effective as it builds up a more lively effect depending on what is going on in the scene. For example the scene in white chicks which relates to the police, the background music makes the audience feel the adrenaline making the trailer more effective. Also, as White chicks is a comedy movie, the type of music in the background makes certain scenes more funny which could be used in my production as it also links to a comedy genre. For example, in White chicks there is a scene which plays Vanessa Carlton - Thousand Miles whilst a black man who is represented as a physically strong body builder is singing along to it which makes the scene more humorous rather than having a song which is more 'ghetto' that is seen as a stereotype.

The music included in this trailer are:
  1. "Latin Thugs" – Cypress Hill

  3. "Shake It (Like a White Girl)" – Jesse Jaymes (Copeland)
